Why have two separate entities?
Our goal is to continue to further the impact we have and help more people break the cycle of poverty globally. We believe this will happen best with two entities focused uniquely on what they do best, job creation (Krochet Kids intl.) and social impact programs (CAPABLE).
What’s happening to Krochet Kids intl.?
Krochet Kids intl. products will continue to provide life-changing job opportunities and will still be sold right here at krochetkids.org. It will operate as a for-profit benefit corporation in an effort to grow its reach and the number of people employed.
I’m a customer. Does anything change for me?
No. Your purchases will continue to provide life-changing jobs to women in need. You can #knowwhomadeit and speak through your purchases to bring humanity back to the center of the apparel industry.
What is CAPABLE?
CAPABLE is the new name and look for our nonprofit organization. CAPABLE helps the extreme poor create businesses, increase income, and ultimately transform their communities. By leveraging it’s ten years of experience, it will be able to significantly expand its programs in Uganda and Peru.

I’m a donor. Does anything change for me?
No. Your donations will continue to provide life-changing services that lift people out of poverty in Uganda and Peru, just like they always have. All donations are tax deductible under our same EIN (20-8086140) and the organization is led by the same Board of Directors.
