EVERY PRODUCT. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We create products that empower people. The production of each of our items offers jobs, education, and mentorship to impoverished individuals. Your purchase connects you with the maker through a hand-signed label.

With the launch of our Cut & Sew initiative in Peru we are expanding our impact through the creation of all-new product categories. Everything from our graphic t-shirts to our travel bags are being made at our empowerment project in Peru. We oversee the entire process, ensuring the highest level of care for the people involved. As a result, you can take pride in the clothes you wear.

IT’S MORE THAN ETHICALLY SOURCED.
IT’S BEYOND FAIR TRADE.
IT’S ABOUT ALL ENCOMPASSING IMPACT THAT CAN BE SEEN.

01.

IT STARTS WITH GREAT MATERIALS

When starting Krochet Kids Peru we were excited to leverage the fine fabrics and materials that are indigenous to the country. We support local industries by sourcing our materials from within Peru. Pima cotton, canvas, yarn, and other materials are received at our facilities located just south of Lima, Peru to prepare for production.

Fabrics to be used for our apparel are dyed and pre-washed before construction to ensure that sizing stays true to fit when it reaches your door and as you wear it.

02.

FROM CONCEPT TO REALITY

Working in conjunction with our US-based designer, our Peruvian staff kicks off the production process by precisely cutting the fabric into the patterns for our newest products.

03.

THE IMPORTANT DETAILS

Many of our products incorporate knit panels created by our beneficiaries working under the same roof. They use hand-powered knitting machines to intricately weave colors and patterns together, which provide the style and flair that make our products stand out.

04.

TEAMWORK BUILDS COMMUNITY

All of the fabrics and materials are walked downstairs to our sewing floor. Here, a select team of our beneficiaries have been trained to use top of the line sewing machinery to assemble all of the different materials that make up our Cut & Sew products.

On average it takes at least three of our beneficiaries, using three different sewing machines, to skillfully and accurately construct our garments and accessories. The result is healthy collaboration and well-made products.

Globe

WE ARE A GLOBAL TEAM WORKING IN UNISON TO CREATE GREAT PRODUCTS AND EMPOWER PEOPLE.

05.

AN INDIVIDUALIZED TOUCH

No product is complete without attaching the label that bears the signature of one of our beloved beneficiaries. In this way, you can know who made your product and learn more about this person by viewing her online profile.

Since it involves a lot of teamwork to construct a Cut & Sew product, we evenly divide the finished products for the beneficiaries to sign. This way everyone is fairly represented for their contribution.

06.

A QUALITY FINISH

We inspect each item to ensure quality, as well as trim any loose ends or fix imperfections. The product is then steamed to prevent unwanted creases created during transit. Our global team aims to provide you with the highest quality products possible.

07.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

All products are attached with a hangtag sharing our mission, then they are boxed and shipped to Krochet Kids intl. HQ in Costa Mesa, CA. From there we distribute all of the products to your doorsteps.
