After losing her mother, Akello Dorcus spent most of her childhood neglected as her father and stepmother were far more concerned with their children than her. Through working at KK Uganda, Dorcus is regaining ownership and pride of her life. She hopes to use the money and financial skills she earns to start her own small business so that she can remain independent after she leaves the program.
