One of six children, Concy’s parents passed away when she was young, leaving her in the care of her aunt and forcing her to drop out of school to help provide for her family. Later down the road, Concy married and had two children; however, after some domestic issues, she moved around Uganda in search of a new home. She eventually settled at a local church in Gulu, where she was connected to the KK Uganda program. Now she is excited to be learning new knitting skills, attend educational classes, connect with a mentor, and earn a consistent salary that allows her to provide for her family’s wellbeing.
