When Our Theory Became A Reality

Sean Galaway was our Country Director in Uganda for over 4 years and during his tenure he was able to witness one of the most powerful realizations of our work -- our first graduate. Akot Beatrice is an incredibly strong and determined woman, and in this way she is representative of all of the women we are fortunate to partner with. She was the first participant in our program to officially graduate and pursue the businesses she started while working at Krochet Kids Uganda. Through her hard work and determination Beatrice became a symbol of how we defined success as an organization, and more importantly, a tangible example to so many other women who were working toward their own self-reliant futures.
