Title: Head Product Designer

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and talented designer to help us evolve and grow our product offering made around the globe. As with much of what we do, we take a unique approach to design and production. We look forward to finding the person that can bring their experience to elevate our brand while working within a new and exciting context.

Responsibilities:

• Research trends and seasonal color story
• Design, plan, and develop accessory collections
• Work closely with Production team to ensure the feasibility of designs
• Research yarns, trims and fabric for future development
• Prepare spec packages for Production team including sketches, construction details, trims packages and critical measurements
• Illustrate images for pre-line reviews
• Monitor quality, construction and trim components
• Maintain up to date technical designs for Production team
• Monitor sales and sell-through reports to determine successes and failures in order to build knowledge for future collections
• Communicate all line revisions to Production and Retail team
• Travel to project locations to understand context of design and capabilities

Ideal Candidate:

• 2-4 years experience designing apparel
• Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Adobe Illustrator (Mac preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines
• Strong Attention to detail.
• Ability to recognize problems and react to changing work/production demands
• Strong concept & illustration skills
• Technical knowledge of crochet and knit construction
• Know how to crochet and knit (BONUS)
