Pilar has struggled for a long time to support her family and to provide a life that she could not have growing up. Her family was not able to support her beyond sixth grade so she moved to Lima and worked various jobs as a nanny and in restaurants. Upon receiving her position at KKP she has been able to transform her life. She has a new sense of independence and now is able to spend more time with her children, teaching them to be good people.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM FOR THE FUTURE:
“My dream is to have my own enterprise.”
HOW HAS YOUR LIFE CHANGED SINCE YOU STARTED THE KKP PROGRAM:
“My life has changed tremendously for now I have a full time job, so I feel independent because I cover myself all my expenses.”
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO THE KKI COMMUNITY:

Pilar, the marie scarf that you made is beautiful, I got it in deep green, it is my favorite color. The scarf is so nice and soft and warm, I am going to wear it all the time. I am a new supporter of krochet kids and I am glad I found them.

You do such beautiful work. I love the Marie scarf that my future daughter-in-law gave me for Christmas. I was so thrilled to see that you made it using Alpaca wool. My favorite animal. Around Christmas a local farmer will bring some of his Alpacas to the Public Market. I love to photograph them and pet their heads.
