Orphaned at 7 years of age, Ocira Cindrella has spent most of her life without most basic necessities. As a beneficiary for KKU, however, Cindrella is now able to support herself as well as her husband and her young children. She hopes not only to send her children to school but also to complete schooling herself so that she might have a “brighter future.”

Yesterday I had to retake an exam that I had previously failed. This time I passed – yeah! But the best part was coming home from the exam and finding my Betty hat that you knitted me in the mail. I LOVE it!! So warm and goes with everything. Thank you for making such beautiful accessories and for working with a great organisation like KK. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to visit your country and see all the progress your making. You are touching more lives than you could possibly imagine!

I was blessed with a very happy Christmas this year, but the highlight of that day was the 5207.5 hat that I received from you. I pray for cold days just so I can wear my hat. I love it so much, but I love even more what you’re doing for your family! I’m finishing my last semester of college now, and I wish you all the luck in your schooling. I have an orphaned elephant in Kenya that I adopted at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and I hope to visit her someday. I now have two good reasons to visit though, if I make it over there soon I’ll visit my elephant and will certainly visit you as well.
