Laker Florence was once haunted by a mental illness that kept her incapacitated for thirteen years. Today, she is able to support herself and her two children with the money that she has made at KKU. She hopes to give her children the best education possible so that they will succeed in their own lives.

I found this organization after a mission trip to Uganda last May. We stayed in Entebbe, but we were supposed to travel to Gulu to offer mental health counseling seminars to mental health workers there. We were unable to travel however because it was the inauguration of the president and it was unsafe for Americans to travel the roads through Kampala. My hope is to return to Uganda this coming year, the Ugandan people touched my heart.
I thank you very much for my beautiful hat. Every time I wear it I will be reminded of my memories and friendships that I have made that will last a lifetime.

I bought my first Krochet Kids international hat at a convention for youth in Southern California. My friends were buying random tee-shirts or taking pictures when I walked away from the group to go to the Krochet Kids table. The first day i walked by the table I stopped and learned about KKU, I thought it was such a blessing! I wanted to buy something right then but I wasnt so sure. The next day when I walked by again I had to buy a hat. I was so excited! I walked back to my seat and right before I put the hat on, I looked in it and saw the tag inside with your signature on it. That’s when I decided to pray for you.
Today I wore my hat and for the first time now went online. Finding out that I can personally thank you is such a blessing. I love my hat so much! Thank you so much!
