After the death of her parents, Beatrice was left under the care of her eldest sister where life was hard, food was scarce, and fear was prevalent in her life due to the unknown whereabouts of the rebel army. Since being enrolled in the KKU program, she not only has a reliable source of income that can support her husband and children with food, medical care, and clothing, but she also has a support system that enables her to forget about her worries.
DREAM FOR THE FUTURE
“My future plan is to ensure that I work hard and that my children study and get educated to the highest level. I also want to save as much money as possible so that I will be able to buy a plot of land and later build a house for my children.”
“My most enjoyable activity during my free time is gardening and visiting friends and relatives.”
MESSAGE TO KKi
“I am very appreciative for the job opportunity. Krochet Kids should continue with the good work of supporting vulnerable women in Northern Uganda.”
