After the death of her parents, Beatrice was left under the care of her eldest sister where life was hard, food was scarce, and fear was prevalent in her life due to the unknown whereabouts of the rebel army. Since being enrolled in the KKU program, she not only has a reliable source of income that can support her husband and children with food, medical care, and clothing, but she also has a support system that enables her to forget about her worries.
