As the first born child of seven, Beatrice assumed her mother’s role in taking care of her siblings when both of her parents died. During the war in northern Uganda, Beatrice and her family jumped from town to town in search for safety which made life unexpected and unstable. Now that she is working at KKU, she is earning a steady income and is able to buy food and support her children in school.
