Amarorwot Monica has energy and pride like no one we’ve ever met. Although she lost most of her family to the war, Monica takes courage in her abilities to pull herself out of poverty. Since coming to KKU, Monica has been able to make the money she needs to provide for herself and help provide for her family. She can now afford the medical care she needs and to send her children to school. She hopes to continue to support her children and eventually buy land and build.

Today I recieved the beautiful hat you made for my 29th birthday! Last Summer I came to Uganda and I visited the Krochet Kids compound with my church from California, Rockharbor. We sang and danced and had a wonderful time with you ladies. I took a video of us singing and I watch it all of the time because it makes me smile. I think you are so strong and amazing. Your children are so blessed to have such an inspirational mother! Everytime I wear my hat I will remember you. You will always be in my prayers. May God bless you and your family!
