Just years ago, Aloyo Jennifer was passed from one family member to another as the war took the lives of many of the people in her family. Today, Jennifer is able to provide for herself and her extended family with the money that she earns through her work at KKU. In addition to providing a steady income, Jennifer says that the crochet program has helped her forget her past and think positively about the future.

My sister had the idea that instead of just buying Christmas presents for each other from some random store in the mall, we should purchase gifts from an organization that benefits someone more than just ourselves, and though I love my new hat and will wear it proudly, I am more pleased that the funds used to purchase it are going to a great cause…YOUR cause!!! I had never heard of Krochet Kids and wasn’t aware that I could connect with the person whose hands made this comforting garment. I just saw it on the shelf and touched it. Thanks for the hat and your beautiful spirit! It was a wonderful Christmas present. I recently snagged my beanie on a tree and it got a hole. My mom was able to patch it up, and it’s perfect again. Your hat is more than a hat and it means so much to me.
