When she was ten years old, Akello Florence was abducted by the LRA and was kept in captivity for twelve years. During her captivity, Florence was often forced to fight against the government soldiers. Since beginning her work with KKU, Florence has been able to save enough money to support her family and send her children to school. She enjoys doing housework and dreams of soon buying land and building a home for herself and her children.
