Aciro Susan
With determination, Susan learned to live positively under very difficult circumstances. After being mistreated by family members, she fled with her husband to Gulu town where neither one of them had any source of an income. During her pregnancy, she soon learned that she was HIV positive and was heartbroken. But she has never given up hope. In order to make a living for her and her family, she attempted to sell clothes on the side of the road until she became apart of the KKU family. Susan claims that Krochet Kids is a godsend to her.

Thank you, Aciro Susan
Thank you so much! The hat is adorable and holds a special meaning.
Aciro Susan Thank You So Much!!! I received one of your hats as a present from my sister. Its gold so that I can wear it to school football games. The school’s colors are black and gold! Everytime I look at and wear my hat I will think of you and your family! I will pray for you and that God will send countless blessings your way. He loves you so much! I’m so happy for you and the joy you’ve found with your new talent and business. This hat will forever be special to me because you made it with your hands!
God Bless,
Drew
Dear Aciro Susan,
I thank you for the beautiful golden hat that you crocheted. My son and daughter-in-law gave it to me as a Christmas gift. It is especially dear to me because I have traveled to Uganda 4 times. I have been to many areas in Uganda, such as Kampala, Bushenyi and Ishaka where I have worked with Sister Ephrance Nuwamanya. I think we have passed through Gulu and perhaps I can travel there one day and meet you! I want to especially encourage you to stay strong. You have my greatest admiration for the way that you work so hard to provide for your family and for your vision for a house for the Krochet Kids. I will pray for your health and the strength to continue. May God bless you and keep you safe.
Love,
Becky Porter
