Our friends over at World Vision ACT:S are taking on the incredible goal of uniting activists around the globe. They have created a new platform that encourages us to share and download resources, as well as our stories, in order to inspire action against injustice in our world.

Over the next 6 weeks they will be asking what it means to sacrifice, and sharing the stories of 6 different activists that examine the question through their experiences. As you can see above, our very own Kohl happens to be one of them. The campaign coincides with Lent and there are already a plethora of great resources to get involved.

We know the Krochet Kids intl. community to be a particularly clever and passionate group of people, so take a look and get involved if it’s something you find interesting. The world will be thankful

Here are the top 4 ways you can become connected:

1. Buy a hat. Thank the lady who made your hat. Share her story.
2. Share KKi with your friends via your Facebook, Twitter, or personal blog!
3. Intern! (Either stateside or overseas)
4. Start or join a campus club.

A huge thank you goes out to the PROJECT show for partnering with us in their most recent show in Las Vegas. We were one of the featured brands in a forward-thinking installment called PROJECT Love – where they highlighted socially minded brands and provided the platform for us to share our product and our story.

Here are a few shots I took from our trip. Our whole team was out for the show and we were all grateful for the hospitality and support from our friends at PROJECT. This photo is very near and dear to our hearts. It dates back to 2007 and our first official Krochet Kids intl. trip to Uganda. This picture was taken on the very first day of training that we had. What a journey it has been since this first day!

Spinning Yarn

We are constantly impressed and inspired by the ingenuity of our friends and co-workers in Uganda. When we were faced with the question of how we could break up our large cones of yarn into smaller ones so more ladies could be working with the same yarn, our neighbor had the solution. A local carpenter had come up with this spinning apparatus using elements of Northern Uganda life, as you can see. We put in an order…
