$500,000 for Empowerment!
12.09.2012Last night was the culminating event for the American Giving Awards. Your support and your votes cast over the past two weeks were not only felt by our staff, but were recognized with an award of $500,000. Our hearts stopped when we were called up to the stage!
We had the chance to share our story and message of empowerment to a national audience, and to accept this award on behalf of all of you who share our belief in equipping individuals across the globe with the opportunities to write their own story. Our work is about empowerment, not aid. It’s about thriving, not subsistence.
We celebrate with all of you who made this a reality through the emails, tweets, phone calls, and texts sent and we can’t wait to share with you how your efforts will help us grow our impact. More on this to come…
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
